Dysart Unified School District
UNORGANIZED TERRITORY APPLICATION
Dysart Unified School District has an open enrollment policy (GB Policy JFB-Open Enrollment) as set forth in A.R.S. ¤15-816 et. seq. Said policy defines "nonresident pupil" as a pupil who is seeking enrollment in a school district other than the school district in which the pupil resides. An unorganized territory is an area of the county that is not part of a school district (and therefore does not pay taxes to a district). Pupils from an unorganized area may attend schools in adjacent existing school districts through either a Certificate of Educational Convenience (CEC), or through open enrollment. Dysart Unified School District currently enrolls unorganized area pupils through our open enrollment policy (GB Policy JFB-Open Enrollment) at schools designated by the district.
